I have the memory error and the dropping HDMI audio problem described in this topic NUC HTPC Sound issues. That one has been going on for a year and a half, and is still not resolved. Intel is seriously misrepresenting this device as something that can be used in a home entertainment system, it isn't a finished product. Anything that is sold to sit under your TV must be easily usable by all of the family; the NUC definitely isn't.
I'm hiding these issues at the moment by accessing Media Browser via the Roku client and Windows Media Center via my XBox.
